What it Means to be an Influencer
There is a huge misconception that influencers get paid to take selfies. Sure, some do! But the majority of us spend time carefully crafting the perfect messaging in a way that feels authentic to our own brands without compromising the integrity or voice of our partner. In addition to that, every styled post requires several dozen images, carefully critiqued, restyled, edited, all to ensure our partner is being represented in a positive way that doesn’t jeopardize the theme or style of the rest of our feed, therefore feeling forced or disingenuous to our audience. Something to think about next time you’re scrolling through your feed and see a sponsored post or paid promotion!
